Melissa Readel -Owner/Broker

Just went thru the homebuying process for a 2nd time with Melissa. We met on Monday to discuss what I was looking for - by Monday night she'd sent me a list of houses that met the criteria - and by Wednesday we'd seen the perfect house and put an offer in - and the offer was accepted by Friday night. She skillfully helped craft and negotiate an offer that was accepted when there were many other offers and additional interest on the house. After the offer was accepted, she was willing to help out and go to the inspections when I had to work. And since purchasing the home has been invaluable at providing recommendations for contractors, plumbers, etc. Melissa is easy to work with, knowledgeable, and very responsive."

My wife & I first connected with Melissa Readel via phone on 29 Aug 16, after viewing Ebony Drive in Rochester, NH during a vacation in Wells, ME. Just chatting with her from Holden, MA was the beginning of an 8-month realtor/client relationship. She was so kind and patient with all of our questions, having not been in the real estate market for 39 years! We knew right then that she was a keeper! We set up an appointment with Melissa (& her husband/builder, Andrew) for 1 Sep 16 to view the blueprints of 71 Ebony Drive, & on 9 Sep 16 we paid the deposit and signed the P&S agreement! From that point until we closed @ Red Door Title in Portsmouth, 28 Apr 17, Melissa has not only been an outstanding realtor, but really a friend, as well! There wasn't a phone call, a text, an e-mail over the past 8 months that she didn't jump on immediately, and answer it thoroughly....including Saturdays and Sundays! Having been out of the market for nearly 4 decades, the process and sequence of important deadlines related to buying and selling were very rusty in our minds, but Melissa never made us feel awkward or foolish! I remember her stating @ the "get-go" that "there is no such thing as a foolish question in this process", and "please contact me immediately about ANYTHING that is on your mind"! She was very true to her word! She walked us by the numbers through each and every step of the buying process, flawlessly, to our closing 11 days ago! She also was very straightforward about staying in a positive communication mode. Misunderstandings occur when one doesn't communicate accurately orpromptly! She was a woman of her word! She would reply immediately & would be sure to answer the question.....& then some! She was the consummate communicator! Being 109 miles away & having a new house being built (which we never imagined we would be doing @ ages 70 & 67, respectively), our trips to Rochester were not that frequent, but whenever we said that we were going to come to Rochester, she ALWAYS made time to meet us @ the property, without a question! She was excellent @ being kind and considerate throughout our 8 months' relationship with her, and that was so very much appreciated! We have two daughters & their families in the area (why we moved here) & Melissa was just as kind and forthright to them, asking them to feel free to contact her @ anytime about anything related to the building of our new home!
Melissa was always so punctual about getting back to us. We had many questions that she would have to pursue answers for us---from the builder/husband, the electrician, the plumber, from Strafford Appliance, from Jackson Lumber, etc. She would get us the answer directly, or let us know just whom we needed to contact! It was very apparent that she has built up a very trusted team of professional colleagues to whom she could refer us. Merrimack Mortgage (as a contingency backup), Integrity Stone (granite countertops), Red Door Title (closing services), and others already mentioned, ALL worked out exceedingly well! They were all topnotch recommendations and they served us very nicely!
One thing that struck both my wife and I immediately was how ALL the neighbors had rave reviews for Melissa (& Andrew). That was a great, live, unsolicited recommendation in itself. There was NEVER any tension between Melissa & us, because she practiced what she preached! Communicate immediately and dispel any misunderstandings! I seriously could write a chapter about how awesome it was to work with Melissa from the first viewing of the blueprints @ 55 Ebony Drive last September until the closing, but suffice it to say that I would not hesitate to give her the HIGHEST rating possible as a knowledgeable realtor, but also as a sensitive and genuine human being with the highest of character qualities! We already miss our communications with her, but she is offering the same high quality services to other clients, for sure! Melissa & Andrew will remain life-long friends because of their professionalism & unconditional regard and integrity shown to strangers to them 8 months ago! My wife, Genie, concurs with the foregoing review and recommendation of our special realtor/friend, Melissa Readel!  :)

Melissa was nothing short of incredible to work with on both the sale of one home and the purchase of another. She is always quick to respond and is extremely knowledgeable and resourceful. In other words, if she's not certain of the answer she will track it down for you. Both the sale of one home and the purchase of the other were a bit tricky however Melissa was able to help me navigate the process by coming up with creative ideas to move past any roadblocks that came up. I definitely recommend Melissa to anyone looking to purchase or sell their home and I will use her again if the need arises.  - Mehgan B.

Melissa sold my husband and I our first home almost a year ago. She was professional, patient, and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. She went shopping with us to help us pick out countertops and flooring. Melissa even got in touch with the local youth baseball association so our son would not miss the start of the season! We absolutely love our new home - Lots of thanks to Melissa!  - Heather C.

Melissa was just a joy to work with. She made the process of buying our new home easy and enjoyable, and was always available to answer questions and offer assistance. Great follow up, and immediate response to all our needs. I would highly recommend her if you are either buying or selling your  home! -Barbara D.

My fiancé and I were looking to upgrade from our starter home to one that was more family ready. Working with Melissa was the perfect choice. She was very knowledgeable, easy to work with, and she always went out of her way to make sure we were updated on all activity. Melissa also made it possible  for us to close on our new home the same day we closed on our old one. We would certainly recommend Melissa for any realty needs and will certainly use her again in the future. -Scott Q.

Melissa was amazing through the entire process. Whenever I had questions she always willing to help me with them even if they had nothing to do with the actual home itself. She coordinated information with my bank, the lender and the buyer and looked into multiple items when the closing got  postponed. Melissa was amazing at responding to my questions and never took even 24 hours to respond, in most cases I would have a response to an email or call I placed to her within 6-8 hours which is extremely rare in today's world! I would recommend her to anyone buying a home. - Felisha F.
